Haiti's iKat Electronic Entry and Exit Form Is Now Mandatory for Every Traveler

Haiti's iKat electronic entry and exit form is mandatory for all travelers from 1 October 2026, on arrival and departure. What airlines and OTAs should tell passengers.

Haiti's Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), through the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE), announced that the iKat form is mandatory for all travelers entering or leaving Haiti from 1 October 2026 (as reported by Le Nouvelliste). It applies to Haitians and foreigners, on arrival and on departure, at airports, seaports and land crossings.

According to the DIE page, iKat replaces separate forms for personal details, travel information, the customs declaration and the health self-declaration. Travelers complete one form per person and per trip, including each family member. The form produces a QR code that health and customs officers ask for at control points, on arrival and when leaving. It can be shown printed or on a phone.

Timing: the MICT notice says within 72 hours before travel. The DIE page mentions 72 hours in its introduction and also tells passengers to complete it 48 hours in advance. Advise travelers to complete it inside the 72-hour window and as early as possible. This note is not legal advice. Haitian authorities decide on entry and exit formalities.

What airlines should do

01

Add an iKat reminder to pre-departure emails and app notifications for flights to and from Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien.

02

Brief stations that the QR code is checked by Haitian authorities. Nothing we found makes it a boarding condition for carriers, so don't deny boarding over it without carrier guidance.

03

Remind departing passengers too, since iKat applies on exit.

What OTAs and tour operators should do

01

Add iKat to the Haiti document checklist, next to passport and any visa.

02

Link only to the official form at delidoc.gouv.ht/ikat.

03

For groups, plan one form per traveler, including children.

Any penalty for arriving without a QR code beyond completing the form at the control point.

Digital arrival forms are multiplying. Coverage alerts send one email per change for the destinations you sell. What airlines already check before boarding is in travel border rules.

Coverage alerts send one email per rule change for the destinations you pick, from the partner console. Systems can take the same events as webhooks; the shape is in the developer docs. The live requirement for any passport is always in the requirements checker.
