Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry added Kosovo and Guyana to its tourist visa programme: eligible citizens can get the visa online or on arrival. What OTAs and airlines should update.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday 5 October 2026 that citizens of Kosovo and Guyana are now eligible for the tourist visit visa, obtainable electronically or on arrival at Saudi entry points, as reported by the Saudi Gazette.

Per the announcement, the tourist visa covers purposes including attending events, performing Umrah, attending exhibitions and conferences, and visiting relatives and friends, in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.

This note is for OTAs, tour operators, Umrah sellers, and airlines. It is not legal advice. Saudi authorities decide eligibility and entry.

What travel businesses should update

OTAs, tour operators, and Umrah sellers

01

Update Saudi requirement rules for KSV and GUY passports, from a consular visa to an e-Visa or visa on arrival.

02

Refresh destination pages and checkout messaging for these nationalities.

03

Check nationality pickers include Kosovo. Some systems still lack an ISO-style code for it. Saudi and airline systems use their own codes. Verify the mapping before you sell.

Airlines

01

Expect Timatic to reflect the change. Until it does, brief stations serving Saudi routes with feeder traffic from the Balkans and from the Caribbean and South America.

02

Visa-on-arrival eligibility means a passenger may board without a pre-issued visa. Check-in agents should not deny boarding for lack of an e-Visa when the nationality is now visa-on-arrival eligible.
